Amy Woods

Growing up, I always knew that I wanted to have a career in finance. But taking an accounting class in high school helped me discover my passion for the field. I earned a Master’s Degree in Accounting from NC State, and obtained my first job at a CPA firm. Although I enjoyed the work, I wanted to find something that could make more of an impact than simply specializing in taxes. I soon discovered an opportunity to channel my love of numbers into helping attorneys look after their clients. Lawyers have an ethical obligation to safeguard every penny they hold for the people they represent. And if a firm mishandles the accounting for these funds, they could lose their license. That makes the stakes high for both the firm and their clients, and I thrive in this fast-paced environment.

It’s incredibly rewarding to know that my work with Oak City Family Law makes a positive impact on the lives of those we serve. In my time with Katherine and Sarah, I’ve witnessed firsthand the firm’s unwavering commitment to excellence. Clients can feel confident that I am making sure their trust is well placed.
